Before achieving international fame with his 1969 Swedish breakout film Inga, director Joe Sarno honed his craft on a handful of erotic dramas shot in the USA. In 1964’s Warm Nights and Hot Pleasures, Joe tells the tale of three ambitious college girls who head to New York City, eager to make their mark on Broadway. Short on funds, the girls rent a room from a men’s magazine model and are soon immersed in a lurid world of wild parties, risque men’s clubs and sleazy casting couches. Lessons are learned and hearts are broken as each one decides just how far she will go for stardom.

Featuring Bettie Page-style bondage and female wrestling, Warm Nights and Hot Pleasures is a sultry snapshot of Manhattan of the early 1960s.

WARM NIGHTS AND HOT PLEASURES is the newest addition to Film Media’s archive of Joseph Sarno films, to be released as the Joseph W. Sarno Retrospective, featuring liner notes by film historian Tim Lucas.

DVD, Blu-Ray and Digital Encodes of Vampire Ecstasy / Sin You Sinners, release 1 in the series, can be found at all leading retail and e-tailers including Amazon, FilmMovement and Alternative Cinema. Working with the Sarno Estate, Film Media continues to collect and preserve all existing Sarno films under one roof.
